One of the favourite events on our calendar where we gather members of the Devils community - longstanding and new. And this year we will combine it with the Largie Shield when our National League teams play UTS Balmain.

Each year, our National League Men’s and Women’s teams compete with Balmain to contest the Steven Large Shield. This event is named in honour of the late Steven Large who played for both clubs during the 1980s. Steven was a popular player who is remembered for his love of the game and the social scene that went with it. 

Balmain has held the shield for many years, however the last match-up saw the Devils prevail, winning by a one goal difference. (Our women’s team lost 10-7 and our men’s team won 8-4.) Both games were action-packed and there was a great atmosphere down at ‘Dawny’ with lots of supporters showing up. 

We're hoping for another great event when the game returns to Drummoyne Pool!
