Junior Development Program
We have some exciting changes to the Drummoyne Devils Junior Development Program.......
Let us introduce you to "The Water Polo School" who will be running the program in Term 4, 2024 and Term 1, 2025. "The Water Polo School" is operated by Paula Woolley, who is well known around water polo, having run similar programs on the Northern Beaches for many years and worked at Water Polo NSW for several years running their Events and Competitions and is now working at Water Polo Australia in the Competitions team.
Paula and her team have great knowledge and experience putting these programs together.

First step is for all players who would like to participate in the Term 4, 2024 Friday Night programs is to become a member of Drummoyne Water Polo Club.... Below is the link directly to the registration page... Please select the "Flippaball" payment class
Once your registration has been finalised, you will receive a username and password reset email... Please keep these records safe, as you will need these details to log on and register for the Events you would like to attend.
Junior Devils Polo - Friday Nights @ Drummoyne Swimming Centre
Term 4, 2024 - 18 October 2024 to 13th December 2024 (9 weeks)
Games will run from 5pm to 7pm (subject to change) in the deep-end of the pool. The pool will be divided into two fields of play.
- Teams will consist of a maximum of 9 players
- Only 3 Metro players allowed per team
- 6 players (5 field + GK) in the water at any one time
- All players must be competent swimmers in deep water
- Teams can be made up of Boys, Girls or Mixed Gender
- You can make up your own team, or we will make up the teams
Ideally we would like the games to be run in age groups... Born 2011 & 2012 and then Born 2013 & 2014. However this is dependent on the number of teams and players that register. All levels of experience are welcome, beginners through to Metro. Players outside these age groups who are wishing to play, can reach out via email to submit an exemption request to play.
- "Early Bird" Cost = $120 for the 9 week term for registrations prior to 11th October. Registrations after 11th October will be an additional $15. In addition, players and spectators are required to pay pool entry into the Drummoyne Swimming Pool. We suggest that a 10 week pass be purchased.

The "Early Bird" Registrations for Games will close on 11th October. This is to allow time to finalise teams and complete the draw prior to the competition commencing on 18th October.. After 11th October the fee will increase to $135.00
All players are to register individually and separately... siblings cannot register at the one time...
Flippaball - will be hosted in the shallow end of the pool from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. This session is ideal for the younger age group and beginners.. We encourage Boys and Girls who are Born 2015 and Born 2016 to start their water polo journey in this session.
- Cost = $180 for the 9 week term. In addition, players and spectators are required to pay pool entry into the Drummoyne Swimming Pool. We suggest that a 10 week pass be purchased.
- Casual attendance of sessions are available on request and will be invoiced at $25.50 per session

Skills & Drills Training Session - For all the boys and girls who are playing games and are not involved in Metro teams, we are offering this skills training session from 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the deep area of the shallow end, ie the middle of the pool. These session focus on skill development and techniques, egg beater kick, passing, catching, shooting, counter attack and body positioning.
- Cost = $180 for the 9 week term. In addition, players and spectators are required to pay pool entry into the Drummoyne Swimming Pool. We suggest that a 10 week pass be purchased.
- Casual attendance of sessions are available on request and will be invoiced at $25.50 per session
